It may also be for personal reasons such as name tattoo designs where you engrave the name of a special someone or special something in your own body or choose a symbol or tattoo illustration which may have a significant relevance to an event or person in your life. Tattoos can also be a symbol of belonging or being part of a certain group. In some organizations such as the Yakuza in Japan and biker gangs usually seen in Western parts of the United States, tattoos symbolize membership or belonging in these gangs. It is used for identification of what organizational branch you belong to.
